"From the very start of walking into Berk's, we were very impressed with their friendly and professional atmosphere.
We had just begun to look into tuxes for our wedding - our families having done business with Berk's before, we started gathering information from them first. Barbara sat down with us and went over colors, patterns, options and prices. She was very patient and helpful as we were new to the process.
To get other ideas and opinions, we shopped around - as anyone would do. What we found was that no chain store could stand up to Berk's. Their prices are very competitive with chain stores, but the service and quality stands out above the rest, making it an easy decision to trust Berk's with providing tuxes for the biggest day of our lives. A local business where customers are not only a face but a name was very pleasing and made the whole experience a lot less stressful.
I also inquired about having my silk/ satin rehearsal dinner dress steamed. Only having a week from the time I bought the dress to when I needed to wear it, Berk's came through without any problems. Bruce said that they could steam the dress right there in the store and have it to me within a few days. It came out perfectly - wrinkle free, looking great!
About a month after our wedding, I noticed a promotion on the sign offering wedding gown cleaning and preservation. By when I found the time to call, the promotion had been taken down off of the sign. I decided to call regardless, asking Bruce if I could still bring the gown in; he assured me that I could have the service done and still take advantage of the special pricing. When I entered the store, Bruce knew who I was immediately and asked about the wedding and to see pictures. That personal touch and accommodation is something that you would not get elsewhere.
